Baked Orange Chicken

Golden Nugget Mandarin Posset

Crispy, flavorful, and irresistibly tangy - this baked orange chicken is perfect for a holiday weekend feast!⁠

Ingredients

10 to 15 Kings River Golden Nugget Mandarin (5 to 6 for juicing and 5 to 6 for cups)

3 Kings River Lemons (for juicing)

1/2 cup sugar

Zest from 1 Kings River Golden Nugget Mandarin

1 cup heavy whipping cream

instructions

  1. Cut mandarins and lemons in half.
  2. Juice all the lemons and half the mandarins. Set aside the juice for later.
  3. Scoop out the flesh on the remaining mandarins and save for snacking.
  4. In a medium pot combine sugar, mandarin zest, and heavy whipping cream.
  5. Whisk together over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved.
  6. Turn the heat to low and continue simmering for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Pour the mixture evenly into the mandarin cups.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Top with zest and enjoy.
